Abstract

The present study aimed to measure the level of emotional intelligence for a sample of yarmouk University students in the Governorate Irbid. And to achieve the goal of the study, the Emotional Intelligence developed by AL-ARabeeh (2007) was used, and the validity and reliability of the scale were verified using appropriate statistical methods .the study sample consisted of (1337) male and female students, who were selected by the available method. As the results showed, a statistically significant difference was found between the average estimates of Yarmouk University students in the overall emotional intelligence according to the gender variable, in favor of females. It also found a statistically significant difference between the average estimates of Yarmouk University students in overall emotional intelligence according to the educational qualification variable and in favor of graduate students, while, there is no statistically significant difference between the average estimates of yarmouk university students in total emotional intelligence according to the specialization variable.
