Abstract

The study sought to ascertain the extent to which Arabic language instructors had the fundamental level of literary text taste skills from the perspective of educational supervisors and teachers. The study sample included (132) educational supervisors and instructors chosen at random from the study population. The researchers created a questionnaire with (50) items divided into the following categories: intellectual substance, concepts and meanings, language and structures, emotion, pictures and fantasies, style and music. The results showed that the field of skills of ideas, meanings and intellectual content came in first place followed by the field of skills for words and structures, then the area of skills related to emotion, and then the area of skills of images and the odd, and then the field ofskills of style. Whereas the overall performance arithmetic average was (3.38) with a middling assessment score. The study found no statistically significant differences between the average estimates of the study sample in the degree to which Arabic language teachers in the upper basic stage possess the skills of tasting the literary text from the perspective of educational supervisors and teachers due to variables such as gender, academic qualification, nature of work, and years of experience.
