Abstract
This paper handles one of the modern poetic texts of the modern poet Ahmed Suwielem, titled "The Return from the Bottom of Water". The choice of the text was to test a hypothesis seeing that the meaning in the modern poetry is too deep, and cannot be grasped unless its formation is decipered through different contexts. In order to conduct that, the researcher has studied the symbol, the intertextuality, and the artificial legend, which is considered the most important result that the research has found out. The poet could create a legend for himself through the contradiction and extension of time and place, place from which he could make a myth for the poetic text.
